The agent of Kalvin Phillips has responded to a Leeds United fan on Twitter about the future of the midfielder, after he was named in the Championship Team of the Year.
The 23-year-old has been one of Marcelo Bielsa’s best achievements at Elland Road. Converting him from a decent attacking midfielder, Bielsa turned him into a midfield anchor that even covers the central defenders.
He has thrived. Indeed, Phillips’ ability to break up opposition play as well as his intricate array of passing has seen him linked with a move. TeamTalk claimed Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham were all scouting Phillips.
He was selected for the best eleven alongside Leeds captain Liam Cooper, and his agent Kevin Sharp was asked if the midfielder will be one-club man at Elland Road. Sharp replied with a brief, but reassuring message.

TBR’s view
If Leeds can keep hold of Phillips for the rest of his career, then he will go down in Elland Road folklore. Especially considering how crucial he is to the Whites right now.
Phillips has been linked with an England call-up and promotion to the Premier League is almost certain to make that happen. He has what it takes to play on the biggest stage.
But failing to secure promotion this season may be frustrating for the midfielder, given there is top-flight interest in his signature. It remains to be seen where his future lies, but his agent’s comment is certainly heartwarming for Leeds fans.
