Brazilian legend, Kaka, has been speaking very highly of Roberto Firmino and has branded him one of the world’s best forwards.
Firmino has been instrumental for Liverpool this season. Despite not being the top scorer at the club, it is widely accepted that the Brazilian is the glue that holds the Reds’ attacking play together.
And former Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder, Kaka, has said he sees only Luis Suarez as on Firmino’s level.
“Firmino and Suarez are the best strikers in the world right now,” Kaka said. (Mirror Sport)
“Firmino is not just a striker who stays in the box all the time, he comes and gets the ball and creates the plays. For me, it’s really good to see Brazilian’s having this great success in the Premier League.”
Kaka was also full of praise for Reds goalkeeper, Alisson. Indeed, he claimed that the Liverpool stopper is the best in the world at the moment.
He also had positive words to say about Fabinho. The midfielder has been integral for the Reds despite Jordan Henderson winning the plaudits in the main.
Kaka was widely regarded as one of the finest attacking midfield players of his generation. His performances for Milan led to a mega-money move to Real Madrid back in 2009. However, he struggled in Spain and was eventually sent back to Italy on loan.
High – and correct – praise from a quality operator – TBR View
There won’t be many arguments when it comes to Kaka judging a player. Especially an attacking one.
The Brazilian was one of the finest players of his time and once tore Man United to shreds at Old Trafford while the Red Devils were at their peak.
Kaka is correct in his assessment of Firmino, too. The forward has been nothing short of superb this season for Jurgen Klopp. It’s like he’s taken his game to a new level. Indeed, his hat-trick of assists just last weekend showed how important he is to the Reds.
Luis Suarez is, of course, exceptional. But with the Uruguayan injured, Firmino has the chance to firmly cement his spot as the world’s very best.
