Kai Kennedy reacts as Rangers reject West Ham bid
Rangers winger Kai Kennedy appears to have confirmed that he would be interested in swapping Ibrox for West Ham by admitting that he is flattered by the links with the Hammers, in comments reported by the Daily Mail.
The Gers have rejected a £600,000 offer for Kennedy from the Irons, the Mail reports.
According to the report, West Ham have been tracking the 19-year-old for months. But of course, they will have to improve their bid if they hope to get a deal done.
Interestingly, it seems that Kennedy would be very open to the idea of moving to the London Stadium.
The winger made no secret of the fact that he would love the chance to work with the Premier League side.
“It is extremely flattering that West Ham have made offers for me and it would be a great opportunity to be able to work with a top manager such as David Moyes, but I am a Rangers player until I am told otherwise,” he said, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Kennedy comments may disappoint plenty of Rangers fans as he leaves door to West Ham move open
It is a surprise to see a player speak so openly about speculation. And Kennedy certainly seems to leave the door open.
He does insist that he remains focused on Rangers. But obviously, that only comes after he has been very complimentary about West Ham.
So it will be very interesting to see if the Hammers make an increased bid. It does appear that Kennedy may hope that they do so.
