Kai Havertz summed up the performance of Gabriel Magalhaes in one word on Instagram after Arsenal beat Brighton 3-0 on Saturday to move back to the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners made yet another statement in this enthralling title race. Arsenal were looking to respond after Manchester City beat Crystal Palace, with Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland ominously getting on the scoresheet.

But if Arsenal felt the pressure, it did not come across in their performance. Once the Gunners settled into the game, they were superb on the south coast.

Once again, Arsenal kept a clean sheet on the road. January was the last time David Raya had to pick the ball out of his net in an away game in the Premier League.

Raya obviously deserves credit for that. However, it is surely the performances of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes which have played the biggest part in their success.

Saliba and Gabriel have formed the best centre-back partnership in the Premier League. There is surely no doubt at all.

And Gabriel was superb again on Saturday. No Arsenal player won more aerial duels than the 26-year-old, according to Whoscored. Meanwhile, he also made six clearances – double the number of anyone else.

Gabriel celebrated a late block which ensured that they kept the clean sheet in tact. And you would imagine that Kai Havertz has summed up what a lot of Arsenal fans think of the £23 million Brazilian, with his one-word reaction to his display on Instagram…

No reason for Gunners to fear any of their remaining games

It is absolutely remarkable that Arsenal have gone through February and March without conceding an away goal. And that run is continuing into April.

That will give him huge belief ahead of their final three away games. Arsenal still have to travel to face Wolves, Tottenham and Manchester United.

Previously, those would be three potentially daunting prospects given the magnitude of every game now. But there is absolutely no reason for the Gunners to fear any of those fixtures.
