Arsenal have drawn Bayern Munich in the last eight of the Champions League and there’s already some banter between the players.

The Gunners got one of the hardest ties in the draw and must now do it what looks like the hard way if they are to win the competition.

Of course, one Arsenal player who will have a particular interest in the game is German forward, Kai Havertz. The £65m man is a regular in the German national team and will come up against some close friends in the clash with Bayern.

One of those, Thomas Muller, sent a message to Havertz earlier today after learning of the draw.

And now, it looks like Havertz has responded.

Taking to his social media account on X to reply to Muller, Havertz had a simple message for the German forward.

Havertz and Muller will be key during Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Make no mistake, this is a massive game for both clubs. For Arsenal, it’s a chance for them to go up against one of the giants of European football. It’s a real test for the Gunners, who will be hoping to prove they can see off the top sides.

For Bayern, they’ll see it as a chance to get a win against an inexperienced Champions League team.

The likes of Muller, who have bags of goals and experience at the level, will be crucial.

On the reverse of that, Havertz is also going to be big for Arsenal over the course of the two legs.

Havertz has really shone in recent months for the Gunners. After initially struggling since his move from Chelsea, he’s found his feet and scored some big goals.

Given he has scored a winner in a Champions League final, Arsenal will be hoping his experience at this level can help them overcome Bayern.

And if they do, then you can bet your bottom dollar Havertz will be the one to open the discourse with Muller this time!
