Kai Havertz has now sent a message to Arsenal fans ahead of this Sunday’s monumental game away at Manchester City.

Havertz concluded his international fixtures with another win with Germany last night, beating the Netherlands 2-1.

It was an international break which proved that Germany will once again be formidable opposition at the Euros this summer, spearheaded by Havertz as the side’s false nine.

Julian Nagelsmann decided to revert the Arsenal man back to a forward position this time around, having famously experimented with a left-back role in the last meet up.

That being said, it seems as if Havertz’s focus has quickly shifted to the Premier League and a trip to Manchester this weekend.

Mikel Arteta will be delighted to see one of his key players return injury free – given he’s already sweating over the fitness of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli.

Havertz will surely play in the false nine role once again on Sunday, unless Gabriel Jesus has drastically changed the Arsenal manager’s mind when training at London Colney over the break.

Havertz took to Instagram today to almost rally the Arsenal fans ahead of the weekend, setting this new focus.

Uploading a picture from his minutes playing against Virgil van Dijk last night, Havertz left a caption saying: “Good W to end the internationals! Onto a big week now with Arsenal.”

Of course, both Havertz and William Saliba were in action for their respective national teams last night.

And whilst the feeling is mostly positive about Havertz for Germany right now, things still seem to be uneasy when it comes to Saliba for France.

Saliba played 90 minutes in their 3-2 win against Chile last night but French media were still torn by his performance in the aftermath.

In truth, Didier Deschamps hasn’t really helped the situation, perhaps being a little too outspoken on the deficiencies he sees in Saliba’s game.

But either way, Premier League and Arsenal fans know just how imperious Saliba is, even if he’s struggling to prove that internationally.
