Juventus are reportedly looking to beat Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan to sign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin this summer – and if the Spaniard does want to join the Old Lady, Mikel Arteta has got to suggest a swap deal.
Bellerin, 25, is one of the more senior Arsenal players in Arteta’s squad. He has clocked up a whopping 195 appearances for the Gunners since his debut, despite a number of injuries over the past six years.
The Daily Express claim Inter and Juventus both want Bellerin, with a fee of £27million said to be enough to land the Spain international. So, should Arsenal cash in on a move to sign Bellerin? Or should the Gunners go down a different route.
Arsenal need a centre-back this summer, but the likes of Dayot Upamecano is expected to be too expensive in the coming months. Finding a central defender that can plug the gap on the cheap is crucial for Arteta.

Step forward Italy international Daniele Rugani. The Sun claim Arsenal want the 25-year-old centre-back, who is out of favour at Juventus – with Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt, Merih Demiral and Giorgio Chiellini all preferred by Maurizio Sarri.
Rugani is likely to cost a similar fee to Bellerin, with The Times claiming Wolves had made a £30million offer for Rugani last summer. That fee is likely to have dropped given Rugani managed just three Serie A appearances this season.
If Bellerin is tempted by Juventus, then, Arsenal need to request that Rugani is included in a deal for the right-back in a player-plus-cash deal – with the Italian the kind of signing that can finally solve Arsenal’s defensive woes.
