Juventus now want to sign £27m Tottenham player who Ange Postecoglou has lost faith in

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has never quite seen his career in North London take off.

Lo Celso moved to Spurs for a fee reported to be around the £27m mark back in 2020 after Spurs had already paid around £15m to take him on loan.

However, the Argentinian has struggled with form and fitness and could now be on his way out, with Ange Postecoglou apparently having lost trust and faith in the midfielder.

And according to reports in Italy, a move to Juventus could be on the cards.

Juventus want to sign Giovani Lo Celso

According to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, Lo Celso has apparently ‘made it onto the list’ of the Turin club.

The Italian giants are said to be alongside Barcelona in having an interest in Lo Celso. The midfielder has not featured under Ange Postecoglou and a sale is possible.

TuttoJuve claims that a deal around £14m could be enough to tempt Spurs into selling.

Of course, Juventus are also thought to be keen on signing fellow Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is making do with a bit-part role under Postecoglou at the moment.

Time to move on for everyone concerned

Sometimes, a transfer just doesn’t work out well and it seems to have gone that way for Giovani Lo Celso at Tottenham.

There have been times when he’s showed bits of quality but in the main, it’s been a disappointing spell for the South American.

A move to La Liga or Serie A might well suit him and if he can get back to full fitness and kick on, there’s no reason he can’t get back to the level he showed pre-Spurs.

Lo Celso has bags of talent in the locker, it’s just a case of harnessing that talent. Hopefully, for him anyway, there is a club out there who can get him kicking on again.
