Tottenham Hotspur are widely expected to splash the cash this summer after two consecutive transfer windows of inactivity.
Mauricio Pochettino will surely be backed by Daniel Levy in the market, with Spurs in clear need of reinforcements.
The club lost Mousa Dembele in January and were unable to replace him, although Moussa Sissoko has deputised fantastically.

Toby Alderweireld is set to leave this summer for the value of his £25 million release clause, and Christian Eriksen’s future is also in severe doubt.
Spurs could therefore have a decent amount of money to spend this summer, and one man who would be an absolutely ideal acquisition is Paris Saint-Germain star Marquinhos.
TBR’s view
Juventus are reportedly chasing the Brazilian as a possible replacement for the long-serving Giorgio Chiellini (Gazzetta dello Sport), but Spurs should make themselves a part of the conversation.

Marquinhos is very versatile and can play at centre-half or as a holding midfielder.
Spurs have lost Dembele and will likely lose Alderweireld, making the 25-year-old a possible replacement for two players.
PSG signed Leandro Paredes in January and will welcome Ander Herrera for the 2019/20 season, suggesting limited opportunities at holding midfield going forwards.

And the French champions have Presnel Kimpembe and Thiago Silva as the go-to centre-backs, which perhaps suggests Marquinhos could be attainable for clubs this summer.
With a contract until 2022 the PSG vice-captain would not come cheap, but Spurs raking in cash from Eriksen, Alderweireld and a potential Champions League triumph could make a transfer feasible.
