Juventus fans react as Everton reportedly make contact to sign Adrien Rabiot

Everton have reportedly made contact with Juventus midfielder Adrian Rabiot’s agent and mother Veronique with the holding midfielder already looking to leave the Italian champions – and Juventus supporters want him gone.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Everton are interested in signing 25-year-old Rabiot and Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to his mother in order to engineer a move. Rabiot worked under Ancelotti at Paris Saint-Germain.

Indeed, Rabiot only joined Juventus from PSG on a free last summer but has found himself amid enormous central midfield competition. The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi act as competition.

Everton are likely to be interested in a central midfielder this summer, after the Toffees failed to replace Idrissa Gueye last summer – the man who replaced Rabiot at PSG. Jean-Philippe Gbamin was supposed to, but he has struggled with injury.

Andre Gomes was a better player before his injury and Fabian Delph has flopped at Goodison since his move from Manchester City. Morgan Schneiderlin’s future is also in doubt, which is likely to be the reason behind Ancelotti trying to sign Rabiot.

Juventus fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that Everton are reportedly interested in signing Rabiot this summer, and many believe he should leave the Old Lady this summer.
