Liverpool will have been alerted yesterday as reports emerged that Juventus will not be following up their interest in Kai Havertz.
The Turin giants are said to be keen on the German youngster. However, a report from Calciomercato claims that the ‘Old Lady’ will not move this summer thanks to Leverkusen’s demands.

It is claimed the former Champions League finalists will demand around €80m for the youngster. That sort of demand is unsurprising given Havertz’ form in recent times.
Indeed, he scored 17 times in the Bundesliga last season and he’s followed that up with another six this season, as well as five assists.
When it comes to Liverpool, it has been claimed that the Reds are big fans of the 20-year-old.
And with Juventus seemingly dropping out of the race, surely the time is now for Liverpool to make their move?
Seizing an opportunity
It’s unlike Juventus to pull out of the race for players in recent times. The Italian giants seem to sign big-name players on a regular basis. Indeed, they beat a number of clubs to the signing of Adrien Rabiot and also saw off huge competition to land Matthijs De Ligt last summer.
With officials in Turin moving on from Havertz, it makes sense for Liverpool to make their move now.

And it’s clear to see why the Reds might want the German. Especially, it seems, in recent games. Liverpool have gone well of the boil of late and their run was compounded with a Champions League exit in midweek.
Havertz, though, is the sort of player who could provide a spark. Although they have a workmanlike midfield as it stands, the Reds haven’t ever really replaced Phillipe Coutinho.
Liverpool needs to continue to progress and improve. In signing someone of the quality of Kai Havertz, the Reds would be addressing one of the few problems within their multi-talented squad.
