Arsenal and Spurs could both see plans to sign James Rodriguez scuppered, with the agent, Jorge Mendes, reportedly offering his client to Juventus.

According to Calciomercato, the Colombian is definitely going to leave Real Madrid this summer. That would, of course, open the door for both Spurs and Arsenal, who have both been linked with the midfielder.
However, Mendes now offering Rodriguez could put a real spanner in the works for the north London duo.
Mendes is known for brokering some of the biggest transfers around the world. Juventus, given their current spending power and the talent in the squad, could well be too tempting for Rodriguez to turn down.

After impressing massively in the 2014 World Cup, Rodriguez has struggled to hit those dizzy heights. His spell in Madrid was successful but underwhelming. A two-year spell with Bayern Munich has also been less than inspiring.
Both Arsenal and Spurs wanted to add the Real Madrid man this summer. However, this latest news involving Juventus could represent a significant blow.
A deal that will probably be decided by money – TBR View
Once again, this looks like panning out into a deal where money will be the deciding factor.
Juventus are known for paying big sums out in wages. They already have the likes of Ronaldo and Dybala on the books, while they also blew everyone out of the water to sign Matty De Ligt last summer.
It’s a tempting move for Rodriguez and one, unfortunately, that will probably spell the end of Arsenal and Spurs being in with a chance.
