Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is set to play the long game on transfer deadline day as he looks to force a move to Arsenal.
The news has come courtesy of the Daily Star who believe that the German World Cup winner craves a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Il BiancoNero have reported that the defensive midfielder has turned down moves to Besiktas and Fenerbahce in order to hold out for his favoured move.

The 32-year-old has been told by the Old Lady that he has no future at the club. Aaron Ramsey’s arrival from Arsenal has certainly forced him down the pecking order at the serial Serie A winners.
It is also claimed by the Daily Star that Khedira is trying to cancel his contract. That could help Arsenal beat the deadline as it would mean he could sign for the club after today’s 5pm deadline.
Khedira is paid £83,000-a-week in Turin and on the same money, he would fit in with Arsenal’s wage structure pretty comfortably.
Should Unai Emery land the experienced performer it could represent an extremely decent signing.

Khedira signed for Juventus in 2015 and has played 127 games for the club. He typically plays as a defensive midfielder and has scored 21 goals and registered 13 assists in Italy.
His vast experience could make him a quality influence on a relatively young squad in place at the Emirates Stadium.
