A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to hail Jannik Vestergaard’s superb performance for the Saints today.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s charges continued their fine form as they ran out 3-0 winners over Sheffield United at St Mary’s to go third in the Premier League table.
Southampton opened the scoring on 34 minutes as Che Adams punished his former club with his fourth strike of the season.

Stuart Armstrong then made it two just after the hour with a deflected effort, and substitute Nathan Redmond rounded off the scoring with a neat curling effort seven minutes from time.

The 28-year-old’s efforts proved crucial in Southampton recording their fifth clean sheet of the season and, during and after the game, plenty of praise came his way.
Here is what some Saints fans were saying on social media:
Up next for Southampton is Wednesday evening’s Premier League trip to Arsenal, before hosting Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
