West Ham United fans have welcomed speculation claiming Alphonse Areola’s loan signing is all-but done.
According to L’Equipe, the Hammers have reached agreement with PSG over the goalkeeper’s switch to the London Stadium.
West Ham are reportedly signing Areola on an initial loan deal but have the option to buy the Frenchman next year.
Areola is also undergoing his medical and an official announcement could come by Friday, added the report.

The 28-year-old has already impressed in London recently, shining on loan at Fulham last season.
Areola kept nine clean sheets in 36 league games and only conceded 48 goals, though he couldn’t prevent the Cottagers from going down.
With Lukas Fabianski as first-choice and Areola competing for the gloves, the Hammers would have an impressive selection in between the sticks.
And given West Ham will be competing on four fronts next season, it’ll be so important to have good strength in depth.
