Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon has sealed a loan move to Atletico Madrid.
Reguilon – who joined from Atletico’s bitter rivals Real Madrid in 2020 – has become surplus to Antonio Conte’s requirements.
The full-back wasn’t in the Spurs squad for the pre-season trip to South Korea.

In addition, Conte has reportedly kept him out of the fold in Tottenham’s training sessions.
Reguilon had a strong first season in north London but has struggled since the Italian took charge of Spurs.
Conte has opted for a system that incorporates wing-backs, while Spaniard is more comfortable playing as a full-back.
Reguilon has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Sevilla, Barcelona and Juventus.
Now, it looks as though Atletico have won the race for the 25-year-old’s services.
Romano took to Twitter to claim that the Tottenham man has “just signed the contract” after completing his medical in Madrid.
The La Liga side will reportedly cover Reguilon’s entire salary for the season.
The Spurs full-back will be on loan at the Wanda Metropolitano until June, with no buy clause present.
“Official statement coming soon,” concluded Romano.
