Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was unimpressed by Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch’s half-time team talk, which was filmed and has gone viral on social media.
Footage was captured of the American tactician giving a rousing speech to his players, as they trailed their opponents 3-1 at Anfield in the Champions League.
Marsch was heard reminding his players of the scale of the occasion, and also told them they were showing Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk ‘too much respect’.

Marsch came in for a lot of praise from fans, and it clearly had some kind of positive effect as Salzburg managed to get back to 3-3 in the second half, before Mo Salah won the game for the Reds.
A reporter told Klopp about the viral video and asked if he would allow filming in his dressing room.
Unimpressed, the German replied (Liverpool Echo): “If LFCTV had put out a video of me in that situation, I would leave the club.
“That’s the truth and that’s all I will say about that.”
TBR’s view
It’s something every fan would love to see, but supporters will simply have to use their imagination about what a Klopp team talk would be like – especially if Liverpool were trailing 3-1 in a match.

One can perhaps assume, given Klopp’s famous passion for the game, that it would be a fairly explosive scene.
Klopp’s response is a reminder of how serious he can be, for all his charm and humour.
