Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the press ahead of the game with West Ham this weekend and has spoken highly of both Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.
The left-backs are part of a Liverpool squad that is flying once again in the Premier League and Europe. Robertson is the main man, but Tsimikas has been given chances this season and taken them.

The Greek star’s performances have led to some Liverpool fans calling for Tsimikas to start against the Hammers this weekend. But Klopp, speaking in his press conference today, admitted it is hard to not select Robertson, who he believes is the very best in his position.
“Kostas is very close – he has a lot of quality – he can push Andy Robertson. But Andy Robertson in my eyes is the best left-back in the world but it’s good we have the options to give Robbo a rest in moments – even when he doesn’t like it,” Klopp commented.
Robertson has been one of the signings of the last decade for the Reds. At just £8m, he’s one of the very best players for the price in world football.
TBR’s View: Robertson is right up there and Klopp might be right
There’s been some brilliant left-backs over the years in world football but Robertson is really up there. And that’s not just now, that’s in the history of football.
The Scot is that good. Defensively he’s fine, and going forward, there are few better in world football. Along with Kieran Tierney, Scotland are lucky to have two amazing talents in the same position.
Klopp has always praised his players so there’s no surprise he is complimentary of his left-back. Robertson clearly loves playing for the German, too.
Robertson is key for this Liverpool side. So while Tsimikas might look the part at times, the Scot has the consistency that makes him genuinely world class.
