Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled Dominik Szoboszlai out of the game against Arsenal in the FA Cup tomorrow due to injury.

The Reds are in with the chance of winning the quadruple this season. They are the favourites to win the Europa League, are currently on top of the Premier League table and have made it to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. Their FA Cup campaign begins tomorrow, but sadly, Szoboszlai will not be available.

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai will not play vs Arsenal

Liverpool picked up a fantastic win over Newcastle United on New Year’s Day, but that came at a cost.

Jurgen Klopp claimed after the game that Dominik Szoboszlai felt his hamstring before he was substituted in the 64th minute.

Liverpool fans have been worried about the 23-year-old Hungarian since, and Klopp revealed in his press conference yesterday that Szoboszlai has indeed suffered an injury.

The German also confirmed that the midfielder will definitely miss the game against Arsenal tomorrow.

He said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “I can confirm it’s not a potential injury – it is an injury. Muscle, hamstring. But now we have to see. Dom is very positive, doesn’t have a lot of pain but we have to wait a little bit.

“So, no chance obviously for Sunday, not for Wednesday. No. And then we will see, after that hopefully he might be back but we don’t know.”

Arsenal will be a tough test for Liverpool

Arsenal went to Anfield and picked up a 1-1 draw against Liverpool just two weeks ago in what was a very good game to watch.

The clash at the Emirates will be a difficult one again, and Liverpool will have to find solutions without Mohamed Salah, Wataru Endo and now Dominik Szoboszlai.

That makes things a lot harder for Jurgen Klopp against Arsenal, who are desperate to bounce back after losing back-to-back games at the end of last year.

It will be interesting to see who Liverpool will use in midfield. Alexis Mac Allister is back and will likely start, while Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch could also get the nod.
