Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he has to tell James Milner to conserve his energy sometimes.
The 33-year-old was praised for his showing against Southampton on Saturday after he demonstrated his famous work-rate against the Saints during a 2-1 win.

The veteran’s constant running was particularly noticeable at St. Mary’s Stadium after he was forced to wear a bandage around his head after a clash with James Ward-Prowse.
Undeterred by his knock, £140,000-a-week ace Milner (Spotrac) continued to run around and give the Southampton players nothing for free.
It was an admirable performance, which drew praise from Klopp after the game.
He joked, as quoted by The Liverpool Echo: “That’s James [Milner]. Sometimes we speak about it and say don’t run that much because it’s better when you are in another position!

“But it’s all good and very important to have players like this in your team.”
TBR’s view
It is indeed important for a team to have a player like Milner.
He has never had the fanciest footwork or been a goalscoring midfielder, but Milner’s style has proven invaluable down the years – especially for Klopp’s Liverpool.
His remarkable fitness levels make life so much easier for the rest of the team, and it’s an absolutely brilliant example to set to his teammates.
