Jurgen Klopp praised his goalkeeper Alisson after some important saves kept Liverpool level in the Club World Cup semi-final against Monterrey yesterday.
As per the Daily Mail, Klopp raved over the £90,000-a-week (Spotrac) ace after his contribution helped bail out a makeshift back four at times.
He said: “All you need is Alisson Becker, Alisson Becker. He was there in the decisive moments. [It was a] really hard game and then you can bring on the boys.
“Wonderful goal, great game, super atmosphere. We have no clue about Virgil, we thought he would be fine. We will see. We have brought in a few kids and see what we can do line-up wise. We want to play the final and see what we can do.”

TBR’s View – Alisson all the more important behind makeshift backline
Liverpool’s backline has improved since Alisson’s arrival and they are a solid unit now. And having someone like the Brazilian lying in wait when the defence itself isn’t at its strongest spreads composure.
If, for example, Simon Mignolet was in nets, there’s still some pressure on the back line to protect a keeper who is unlikely to spread the same calm.
But Alisson offers confidence and assurance that even if he is tested more than usual, he can stand up to it.
