Jurgen Klopp paid tribute to Mo Salah after he got through wasteful first half to score Liverpool’s second goal against Red Bull Salzburg last night.
As per the Daily Mail, Klopp was pleased with the way Salah put missing some chances behind him to net a harder chance and send the Reds into the last 16 of the competition they won in Madrid in June.
He said: “Thank God I don’t have to [explain Salah’s strike]! It was, for sure, the most difficult situation he had. He played really well but didn’t score in the situations we expect him to score, staying on track and making such a decisive.
“But the difficult finish says probably much more about him than all the other goals he scored. He stayed concentrated, believes in the next moment and it was a very, very good goal. A sensational finish.”

TBR’s View – Salah will be rampant when he starts scoring the easy chances again
Even in Salah’s breakthrough season, he missed chances he would be expected to score, so it’s nothing new. But once he starts slotting them away – and he soon will – he will be rampant.
Two goals in two games should get his confidence up ahead of a period of matches where Liverpool have to manage their resources accordingly to keep their momentum going.
