Jurgen Klopp has made a comparison between Tottenham centre-forward Harry Kane and Liverpool counterpart Roberto Firmino.

At the heart of Liverpool’s success in recent years has been Firmino, with the £29million (BBC) frontman the individual that glues the entire attack together for Klopp’s side.

The 29-year-old Brazilian striker has become renowned for the way he drops into deeper pockets to help link up play and being extremely unselfish for his Reds teammates.

His record this season is just two goals in 19 games, but it’s worth noting 80 goals in 263 appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, Spurs striker Kane has continued being a goal machine with 15 in 19 games this season, but more notably he’s supplied 13 assists by adding a new kind of creativity to his game.

Liverpool manager Klopp, who is preparing his team to face Spurs on Wednesday night, has pointed towards Kane’s impact this season and expects him to be a difficult opponent midweek.

“They have a proper football side and play real football. You see now Kane dropping probably in a way Bobby Firmino did it, then the two quick wingers, right and left. To defend Kane in these areas is really difficult,” Klopp said, as quoted by the club’s official Youtube account

Aged 27, Kane certainly looks like he’s reaching the peak of his powers right now and developing the ability to drop deeper on the field is one that everyone’s noticed this season due to his sheer amount of goal involvements.

It’s a fair comparison to Firmino in terms of the intelligent movements in different areas of the pitch, but what’s so impressive is that the Spurs talisman is consistently scoring on top of creating.

The England captain is definitely someone that Klopp will be looking to nullify tomorrow night and he knows he’s got his own attacking firepower to cause the opponents problems.
