Liverpool cruised to a huge 5-0 win at Watford today as Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah proved too hot to handle for the Hornets at Vicarage Road.
Firmino bagged himself a hat-trick as he came in for Diogo Jota, while Salah scored yet another contender for goal of the season with a fine effort.

The Reds simply had too much for Claudio Ranieri’s side. Sadio Mane was also in fine nick, as he got himself on the scoresheet as well. Of course, Salah was the one to garner most of the attention after the game. But Jurgen Klopp also reserved special praise for Brazilian forward Firmino.
“We are all delighted for Bobby. He is an incredible player – he found the spaces. It is really nice he can then score these goals. He is an incredibly important player for us and that is why I am obviously really happy,” Klopp said of Firmino after the game.
Firmino has had to battle with Jota for a starting berth ever since the Portuguese forward arrived from Wolves. But he showed his worth today, with a timely reminder to Klopp.
TBR’s View: Firmino still a class act at Liverpool
Firmino is the one out of the Liverpool front three who seems to come in for the most doubt and criticism. But on days like today, he shows his true class.
The Brazilian has bags of ability and when teams allow him to play as he did today, he can be real threat. He’s not always been the best goalscorer, but he proved today he can finish.
Klopp, then, is right to be delighted and having both Firmino and Jota fit and firing can only be a positive for the Reds.
