Jurgen Klopp has told Liverpool fans to stop shouting at Joe Gomez during games.
The 56-year-old made the comments in his interview after Wednesday’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Southampton.
So, what did Jurgen Klopp say about Liverpool No.2 Joe Gomez? Let’s take a look…
Jurgen Klopp sends Joe Gomez message to Liverpool fans
Well, the German is fed up of Liverpool supporters shouting “shoot” at the England international – no matter where he is on the pitch.
Gomez has never actually scored for Liverpool in 209 appearances, so fans have made it a bit of an ongoing joke to shout “shoot” at the defender.
However, Klopp has ordered it to stop.
The man from Stuttgart said: “The way he played is absolutely crazy. Can I ask the people – as funny as it is – leave the boy alone. One day he will shoot. Let him find the moment himself. If he shoots from 40 yards just because people are calling then I will get really a bit angry.”

While some might accuse Klopp of being a killjoy, he is right.
Shouting “shoot” at Gomez while he’s on the halfway line is not helping anybody, and it is surely becoming a bit distracting for the 26-year-old.
Jamie Carragher even reposted a video of Klopp’s message – suggesting the Sky Sports pundit thoroughly agrees with the demand.
Liverpool fans must listen
Whether you agree with Klopp or not, his message should be adhered to.

It is entirely possible that Gomez has complained about the situation behind the scenes, and his manager is simply relaying his feelings to the public.
Supporters must do all they can to ensure Klopp has a successful end to his time at Liverpool, even if that means abandoning the “shoot” gag which has become so popular at Anfield this season.
