Tottenham legend and former striker, Jurgen Klinsmann, believes Jose Mourinho can lead Spurs to Premier League glory following their excellent start to the campaign.
Klinsmann was a cult-hero back in the 90s at Spurs, scoring a number of goals after joining the club as one of Germany’s best ever forwards.

And the former USA manager believes that Mourinho can lead Tottenham to glory thanks to the ‘nastiness’ he brings to the table.
“He has this piece of nastiness and he transfers that type of nastiness, that type of aggression to his players. He’s always saying that you’re not winning a championship with good guys. You’ve got to be determined. You’ve got to be tough. You’ve got to be able to sacrifice certain elements over the stretch of a season,” Klinsmann said of the Spurs boss. (The Express)
“It’s a marathon and as long as no one runs away in that marathon, which it looks like this season, then there’s a chance for Spurs.”
Tottenham return from the international break this weekend with a tough test against Manchester City. However, sitting just a point behind Leicester at the top, Mourinho’s men will be in confident mood.

Furthemore, Gareth Bale has enjoyed a fruitful spell with Wales in the past week, while the likes of Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane have avoided any sort of injury.
Trophy drought will end – TBR View
If anyone is going to end the lack of winning at Tottenham then it’s Mourinho, especially with such a talented group of players.
Klinsmann’s assessment of Mourinho is a good one as well. He’s always won by instilling a winning mentality and nasty attitude into his teams. He does what it takes to win, and that is rubbing off on his players.
The time really is now for Spurs and Mourinho to win. You get the feeling if this season passes by without a trophy then they might have missed the boat.
