Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta delivered his verdict on Jurgen Klopp ahead of the Gunners’ game against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

The German is exactly what the Reds needed. Klopp came in and took over a struggling Liverpool side, but what he has done with the club since has been nothing short of remarkable.

Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and ended their Premier League drought the very next year. Klopp is the biggest reason why the Reds were able to achieve what they did, but Arteta loves one other thing he has done.

The Arsenal boss raved about the ‘cohesion and energy’ Klopp has created at Anfield. He even claimed that it’s a ‘talent’ the German possesses as he has done the same thing at other clubs before as well.

Arteta: Klopp has a special talent

Asked about Klopp’s Liverpool in his press conference today, Arteta said, as per Arsenal.com: “I think Jurgen and his staff have managed to bring the club to the best moments in their history and to sustain it, which is the hardest thing to do.

“They have transformed the energy around the place.

“I think the cohesion and energy they have created in the stadium is something special, and Jurgen has done that at other clubs he has been at. So, it’s a talent he has. He has built from there and obviously been extremely successful.”

Anfield has always been a difficult place to win at for away clubs, but since Klopp’s arrival, Liverpool have been absolutely incredible at home.

The quality of the players is definitely one of the reasons why, but the German made every Liverpool fan believe again. That increased the support, cohesion and energy at the club, which is integral to any side.

Arteta is trying to build something similar with Arsenal fans at the Emirates, but the Gunners are still a long way off. However, Klopp has shown that it can be done and it will be interesting to see if the Spaniard can achieve that as well in the coming years.
