Jude Bellingham makes a claim about how Man City play immediately after Real Madrid’s 3-2 Champions League win

Jude Bellingham is a man for the biggest moments and once again, he rose to the occasion by scoring the winning goal in Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory against Manchester City.

Vinicius Jr won back possession after Rico Lewis’ delayed reaction to a risky pass from Mateo Kovacic, with an onrushing Ederson Moraes giving his countryman the option to dink the ball over him as Pep Guardiola’s side made a comedy of errors at the back.

Jude Bellingham tapped the ball into an empty net and proceeded to celebrate as Manchester City had a found a way to implode once again — conceding two goals in 12 minutes to relinquish their 2-1 lead.

Despite Real Madrid being tipped to batter City ahead of the contest, the game itself was quite close.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side had the better chances but Manchester City took the lead twice and created enough to win Tuesday’s encounter.

Real Madrid hero Jude Bellingham says Manchester City are “unbelievable”

But it could be argued that all the three goals City conceded were avoidable.

Kylian Mbappe’s first goal was a scuffed effort while Ederson should have got a hand to Vinicius’ initial attempt as his save fell into Brahim Diaz’s path, who scored the equaliser and for Bellingham’s winner, the Brazilian goalkeeper, Kovacic and Lewis were all culpable.

Ultimately, Pep Guardiola will not be as disappointed by the result as he will be the manner of his side’s defeat.

After the contest, even Bellingham acknowledged that despite Manchester City having a tough season, they remain a top-class side — which sums up how well they played.

Bellingham told Amazon Prime Video Sport saying: “It was a weird one, I think we played some of our best football of the season and managed to find ourselves behind in the game, it was a bit of a weird one. I don’t care what form City are in, they’re still an unbelievable team and so difficult to play against, the way they move you, manipulate your position, it’s always really tricky.”

“In the end, we took one of the many chances finally so that was what made it count.”

Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid must’ve spotted one Man City weakness before the game

As Bellingham pointed out, Manchester City are still a brilliant team and in several spells, they managed to outplay Real Madrid.

But having lost from winning positions six times this season, it is clear to see that this group of players has become mentally fragile and Real Madrid must have known that is the case.

Individual errors have cost Manchester City time and again and ultimately, this could affect them in the race for top four again.

City have a mountain to climb in the second leg but for them to have even somewhat of a chance of winning, they must be far more resolute mentally to go through to the Round of 16 against Real Madrid.
