Tottenham have long been idolised as one of few clubs to plan for the future and look to young talents to nurture and bring through into their first team. In Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez, they may have the future of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s Joe Gomez may also come in with a shout, but it is hard to pick out two more talented defenders than Mauricio Pochettino’s defensive duo who surely look to have the backline tied up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for at least a decade, if not more.
With the Argentinian just 20 and the Colombian only 22, they have plenty of time left to improve and become even better defenders.

Already they are ahead of the likes of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld in the pecking order, even if that may be down to injuries and speculation over their futures, but it may only be a matter of time until they become the strongest pairing.
Both appear to have settled in well in north London and Foyth, who had more touches than anyone against Crystal Palace, is immediately looking at home in the Premier League after making his debut only a week ago.
The future is bright for Tottenham and Pochettino may rely on this defensive duo to lead a new era at a new stadium.
