Journalist Pete O’Rourke has told Give Me Sport that he believes that Christian Pulisic would be interested in joining Newcastle United with the Magpies one of the sides keen on signing the American.
Pulisic’s stock has risen sharply in the last few weeks. Of course, the attacking midfielder went into the World Cup off the back of a really disappointing time with Chelsea.

However, the 24-year-old shone in Qatar with the USMNT. He was the US’ most important attacking player – their ‘superstar‘ – scoring the goal which got Gregg Berhalter’s men out of the group.
Pulisic interested in joining Newcastle
And it seems that a race for his signature may now be underway. Reports from the Daily Mail recently claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle all want the £35 million-rated star.

His Chelsea deal has just over 18 months left to run. So it seems that his future will be resolved sooner rather than later.
And when asked whether he would be interested in joining Newcastle, O’Rourke indeed suggested that he would be happy to move to St James’ Park.
“I think a lot of players will be interested in a move to Newcastle right now,” he told Give Me Sport.
“They’re flying high at the top end of the Premier League table. It looks like they could potentially finish in the top four this season as well. And obviously it’s a really exciting project under the new owners at Newcastle.”
If Pulisic leaves Chelsea, he will surely do so to secure more regular game-time. And that is going to be difficult to achieve at either Arsenal or Liverpool.
Newcastle are absolutely flying this season. And there are no guarantees that Eddie Howe would decide to use him on a consistent basis.
But Howe has rotated his options on the left of the forward line. So there is definitely scope for a player to stamp their authority on that position.
It will certainly be interesting to see what will happen should Newcastle make a bid next month.
