Journalist shares whether Richarlison will now be banned after pushing Ramsdale at full-time in North London Derby
Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison and Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale had an altercation at full-time in the North London Derby on Sunday.
The Gunners dominated Spurs in the game and deservedly picked up all three points. They hadn’t won at Tottenham’s home since 2014, which made it an even more special moment for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Ramsdale was absolutely delighted at the final whistle, but Richarlison was not too happy.

Ramsdale received a ton of stick from Tottenham’s supporters throughout the game. They did everything they can to get under his skin, but after a truly sensational performance, it was the Arsenal man who had the last laugh.
Just before the final whistle, Richarlison had a go at Ramsdale – the goalkeeper just laughed in his face. A few seconds later, the Arsenal man turned around and pointed his finger at Arsenal’s badge, and that infuriated the Brazilian.
He rushed up to Ramsdale, pushed him and even had his hand on the goalkeeper’s face.
That, usually, is a red card offence, and Arsenal fans have been hoping for some retrospective action from the FA against Richarlison and Tottenham for the behaviour.
However, it looks like the Brazilian will get away with it. The Sun’s Daniel Cutts revealed on Twitter that since the VAR did not take any action on Richarlison, the FA are set to let the incident slide as well.
He tweeted: “Told VAR could have looked at the Richarlison incident at the end and sent him off. Twice put his hand to Ramsdale’s face. Looks set to avoid any action. Ref report went in today.
“Spurs facing heavy fine.”
Arsenal fans, predictably, will not be happy, but there’s nothing they can do, is there?
The FA are yet to release a statement following the referee’s report, at the time of writing.
