Leeds United came so close to promotion last season.
The Whites amassed a points total that would’ve seen them finish in the top two pretty much any other season, while they were incredibly unlucky in the playoffs.
However, Leeds were ultimately unsuccessful in their pursuit of a Premier League place, and now, they have to go back to square one.
A mini-rebuild is needed, and speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast, Graham Smyth has provided a transfer update.
Callum O’Hare is a player who has been tentatively linked with a move to Leeds this summer, but according to Smyth, there’s nothing going on with the former Coventry man and Leeds as things stand.

Callum O’Hare to Leeds isn’t imminent
Smyth shared what he knows about the attacking midfielder.
“I would still love to see a number 10 come in. At the minute I don’t get the feeling that it’s going to be O’Hare because we’re told there’s nothing imminent right now with him from Leeds, and I don’t get the feeling they’re chasing that one as an urgent priority,” Smyth said.
Callum O’Hare could get Premier League move
It’s not surprising to hear that Leeds aren’t close to signing O’Hare.
After a number of fantastic Championship campaigns with Coventry City, O’Hare is surely now ready for a move to the Premier League.
This is a player with bags of ability, and no matter which level he’s playing at, he has the ability to change a game.
Any lower-end Premier League side would be wise to roll the dice on O’Hare, and it wouldn’t be a shock at all if that move came off in the coming weeks.
Leeds do have work to do, and a new creative player could be on the agenda, but, at the moment, it doesn’t look as though O’Hare will be headed to Elland Road anytime soon.
