To say that Richarlison is an enigmatic player would be an understatement.
One moment he looks like a world-class striker, the next he’s not scoring for 18 months, one minute he’s laughing while dancing like a pigeon, the next he’s fiery and almost starting fights on the pitch.
Richarlison is one of the Premier League’s most intriguing characters, and speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, Sami Mokbel has given us a bit of insight into the Brazilian’s personality.
Indeed, Mokbel was discussing the chance of Richarlison heading to Saudi Arabia in the near future as rumours persist on that front, and he suggested that the Brazilian may not be too keen on the move as Mokbel understands that Richarlison is a very competitive person.

Richarlison is super competitive
Mokbel spoke about the Tottenham striker and his personality.
“Yeah there is interest from the Saudi League and there has been. That his historical and I imagine that will come to fruition and it will come to the table again, but he’s a competitive guy from what I understand Richarlison. The money is fantastic in Saudi, but we’re already seeing some of the players going over there and regretting it,” Mokbel said.
Wants to go to the top
Richarlison has had a strange path in football, but one thing has been abundantly clear from a young age, he wants to go to the top as quickly as he can.
There’s a reason he left Watford for Everton so quickly, and there’s a reason he dropped the Toffees like a stone when Spurs came calling.
This is a player who has massive ambition, and even if his consistency levels let him down at times, you can always see just how driven he is to reach the top.
Richarlison has been in great form as of late, and his competitive spirit has helped him secure that number nine spot in this Tottenham team.
