Liverpool are yet to make any signings this summer but according to one journalist, a huge incoming could get done by the time the window ends.
The Reds have been moving slowly under Arne Slot so far and as yet, there are no new faces at Anfield.
Slot, though, has conceded that he’d like to see a few fresh faces, albeit he is happy with the squad.
For Liverpool fans, there is a sense that a bit of a freshen up might be needed, especially with Jurgen Klopp leaving and Slot being the new man at the helm.
Of course, Liverpool are known for doing business quickly and quite often, quietly. We saw this with Luis Diaz, while Cody Gakpo was also snapped up sharpish.
Indeed, it is in those wide areas Liverpool are being linked with a move for a new player and one of the potential targets is Newcastle star, Anthony Gordon.
The former Everton man is thought to be on the radar of the Reds, albeit he has a £100m price-tag after Newcastle paid £45m in the first place.
But according to Sunday World journalist Kevin Palmer, Gordon to Liverpool cannot be ruled out.

Anthony Gordon could get a move to Liverpool
Taking to X to provide the update, Palmer has suggested that there is a feeling that Gordon might well end up getting his move to Liverpool after all.
Eddie Howe has recently spoke of a desire to keep Gordon around.
However, there has been talk of Gordon telling teammates at the Euros that he fancied a move to Liverpool at some point.
Of course, whether or not the latest on Gordon here comes to anything, remains to be seen.
Indeed, down in the comments under Palmer’s tweet, there’s plenty of sceptisism.
However, you just do not know in football and should Liverpool go to Newcastle with a huge offer, Gordon might well make it known he fancies a return ‘home’ and push for the move.
