Tottenham Hotspur have already bolstered their ranks in defence and attack in the January transfer window.
Now, with just over two weeks before the window shuts, Spurs are seemingly looking to bring in a new midfielder.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher in recent weeks and that avenue still seems to be open.
Last week, journalist Ben Jacobs said on FIVE that the Blues will sell the 23-year-old if the right offer comes along.
Now, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook has predicted that the Gallagher transfer saga will rumble on until the transfer deadline late on 1 February.

The journalist, speaking on the radio station’s Transfer Window Show – as per YouTube – believes it’s just a matter of a club putting down £50million for his services.
Crook also suggested that if Tottenham – or indeed any other suitors – were to sign Gallagher, it would cause “uproat” in the dressing room and in the stants.
“The story of this window as far as Chelsea is concerned is building already and I think it will continue right until 11pm on deadline day, Conor Gallagher,” said Crook.
“Will anybody put down the £50million to sell him? If they did sell him I think there would be uproar, not just in the dressing room, but in the terraces as well.”
Chelsea’s loss could be Tottenham’s gain with Conor Gallagher signing
Tottenham have enjoyed a great season so far. Even though it hasn’t been smooth sailing, that was always expected considering Spurs have only had one transfer window under Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham have already brought in two new first-team players, and should they get the signing of Gallagher over the line, that would be a real statement of intent.
Gallagher is clearly Premier League quality and, at 23 years of age, he has his whole career ahead of him. It doesn’t look as though anyone connected with Chelsea wants him gone, but the club’s hierarchy seems willing to sell anyway.
Spurs will fancy their chances of signing Gallagher and then there will no doubt be celebrations among the N17 faithful – partly because they’ve signed a top player and partly because the rival fans will be seething.
