Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo is a “big fan” of Tottenham gem Ryan Sessegnon, according to Alasdair Gold.
The 21-year-old full-back has endured a difficult time in north London amid a spate of injury issues.
Sessegnon joined Spurs from Fulham in 2019 to much fanfare, given how great he was for the west Londoners.

Sadly, a hamstring injury kept him out of action until November 2019 and he had little game time after that.
Sessegnon spent 2020-21 on loan in Germany, making 29 appearances for Hoffenheim and earning plenty of experience along the way.
He finished his stint on a winning note, claiming an assist in a 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin, and returned to Tottenham.
However, Sessegnon has endured more fitness problems since.
Indeed, he had to withdraw from the most recent England Under-21s camp with a knock.
“Ryan Sessegnon, he’s just had a mare hasn’t he?” Gold said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast.

“He came back from his Hoffenheim loan ready to prove himself, and he picked up a hamstring injury.
“Then he got a few minutes in the European games, before going on England U21 duty where he picked up a knock and he’s had to come back.
“A little bit like Matt Doherty, he’s probably third-choice now in that left-back spot, but what works in his favour is that Nuno is a big fan of his.
“He tried to sign him twice at Wolves, but the key is to find the best position to him, is he a left-back? Or is he better as a winger?
“I really like Sessegnon, he’s a great young player with a lot of attributes.”
Over the years, Spurs fans and neutrals alike have compared the talented speedster to Gareth Bale:
