Journalist Alex Crook has told Give Me Sport that he has learned that Leeds United have made a bid for an unnamed striker as they look to provide competition for Patrick Bamford.
The Whites are on their way towards losing the second of their two best players from last season, with Raphinha heading for the exit.

However, it appears to have been an incredibly positive window for Jesse Marsch’s men. They have used the funds to make a number of impressive signings in several key areas.
One of the last remaining issues in fact, is up front. Last year proved to be problematic to say the least.
Bamford missed much of the campaign due to injury. And without him, Leeds really struggled for goals from their forwards.

The good news for the Whites is that it appears that work is being done to bolster their ranks. Crook suggested that there is an offer on the table for another goalscorer.
“I have been told they’ve got a bid in for an unnamed striker,” he told Give Me Sport.
“I don’t know who that is, but they want a bit of cover and a bit of competition for Patrick Bamford.”
Leeds bid for unnamed striker
Leeds have been linked with a couple of forwards in this window. Recent reports claimed that they had switched their attention to Arnaud Kalimuendo after giving up on signing Charles De Ketelaere.
Perhaps the fact that Crook has not learned a name would suggest that neither is the player Leeds have now bid for.
Obviously, there will be a few nerves given that Victor Orta has a mixed track record at Elland Road. But it will be exciting to see what Leeds have planned given it does indeed appear to have been a really good window for the Whites.
