Journalist Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that he has learned from some around Manchester City that they believe that Gabriel Jesus still has a future at the Etihad Stadium despite the striker being in talks with Arsenal about a summer move.
Jesus could well be the answer to Mikel Arteta’s striker problems in the next window. The Gunners absolutely need to sign at least one new striker in the market.

And it appeared that the ‘incredible‘ Brazilian may be near the top of the wishlist. Reports this week claimed that Arsenal had not only opened talks, but pretty much agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old.
His contract expires at the end of next season. So many may assume that a departure may well be on the cards in the coming months. However, perhaps there is a chance that that may not be the case.

Jones has now claimed that Jesus staying at Manchester City is not out of the question – in what could clearly be a major blow for the Gunners.
“It’s true that dialogue is open, but nothing is going to progress quickly with Arsenal. There’s a feeling among people around the club that he has a future at the club – he’s only 25 and is often used in big games,” he told Give Me Sport.
Arsenal fans may fear being used with Gabriel Jesus potentially being set to stay at Manchester City
Jesus is probably keeping his options at this stage. Obviously, Manchester City are on another level to Arsenal right now. So of course, he will be open to sticking around and remaining in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
But Arsenal fans may be a little concerned about how interested he is in moving to the Emirates. There have been players who have used interest to strengthen their hand in contract talks with their current clubs.
There is no reason to suggest that Jesus is doing that. But it would certainly be a frustration for Edu if Jesus ultimately stays put.
