Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero is more talented than Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier.
This is according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown, writing on GiveMeSport.
Fabio Paratici snapped up Romero last summer from Atalanta and he has bolstered Tottenham’s defensive ranks considerably.

The 23-year-old spent some time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, during which time Spurs missed him.
However, Romero returned to action in February and has been an ever-present in Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
Since he came back into the team, Tottenham have kept four clean sheets in their 11 top-flight matches.
As per WhoScored, Romero has made 2.8 tackles per game, more than any of his teammates.
He also ranks in the top two in the Tottenham squad for interceptions (1.3 per game) and clearances (3 per game).
“Probably has more talent than any of those three”
When asked if Romero had the potential to be one of Tottenham’s finest centre-backs of the modern era, Brown told GiveMeSport: “He could be, definitely.
“Their success under Pochettino, while it was built on hard work and pressing, and Kane and Eriksen, and Dele Alli to begin with, it was also based on the partnership that they had at the back between Vertonghen and Alderweireld, who individually are probably not the best centre-backs in the world, but as a pair were absolutely brilliant.
“And you quite often had Eric Dier dropping in between them from midfield at the start of that run. I think Romero, individually, probably has more talent than any of those three.”
Tottenham icon Ledley King recently praised Romero on Reece Mennie’s Mennie Talks podcast, as transcribed by the Daily Star.
“I’ve been very impressed with Romero,” he said.
“I think he’s going to be a top, top player. In his first season, he’s been excellent.”
Romero has found form at a key point in the season and Tottenham are now surely favourites for a top-four finish.
Up next for Spurs is Saturday’s meeting with Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
