Pete O’Rourke has tipped Tottenham Hotspur to swoop for Juventus ace Juan Cuadrado in summer (GiveMeSport).

Last week, Rudy Galetti claimed Spurs had made contact with Cuadrado’s agent to gauge his availability.

The Colombian’s £152,000-a-week contract at Juve expires at the end of the season.

Admittedly, Galetti also claimed that Cuadrado’s priority is renewing with the Serie A side.

But should that fail, Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici would reportedly welcome the 33-year-old to N17.

Cuadrado is a versatile footballer who can play anywhere on the right side of the pitch.

Over the course of his career, he has also featured on the left flank, in midfield, at No. 10 and even up front.

In addition, Cuadrado has some Premier League experience, having previously been on Chelsea’s books.

Both Antonio Conte and Paratici have worked with him before.

Conte and Cuadrado worked together at Chelsea, while Paratici brought him from Stamford Bridge to Juve.

“I wanted him when I was a coach at Juventus,” Conte said back in 2016 when both were at Chelsea.

The veteran player would be a great fit for Conte’s 3-4-3 system and could solve the Italian’s right wing-back issues.

“Loads of experience”

O’Rourke believes Spurs certainly have a chance of getting a deal over the line for Cuadrado.

“Cuadrado could be somebody they could land this summer,” he wrote on GiveMeSport.

“And he can play in so many different roles as well.

“He can play as a right wing-back or further up as a winger as well.

“He’s got loads of experience of playing at the highest level.”
