It seems that Tottenham Hotspur are not willing to let Josh Onomah head back to Aston Villa. The Mirror is reporting that Mauricio Pochettino will not allow the deal, as he is concerned the young midfielder will go straight back to fringe role he had at the end of last season
Onomah found himself out of the picture at Villa Park at the end of last season, with Steve Bruce deciding to use other players in his position.
But there is surely one way in which Tottenham might allow Onomah to head to Villa Park in January.
It is absolutely no secret that Tottenham wanted Jack Grealish this month.

Tottenham eventually made just the one bid for the talented playmaker. A reported £25 million deadline day bid was rejected and Tottenham decided they would go no higher.
But if Aston Villa are keen on Onomah, perhaps a deal could be put together in January that would see both players make the respective switch.
Tottenham could get their man and cut some money off the deal that they felt was getting too rich for their taste. Onomah, who is set to struggle for first-team football at Spurs, could get a permanent move to a top quality club and attempt to replace Grealish.
Pochettino’s stance currently seems strong. But it could be a bigger plan is in the offing long-term.
