Jose Mourinho is clearly intending to launch a complete revamp of his forward line and the Mirror claim that he wants Harry Kane to partner Alvaro Morata up-front.
The England international would cost the Red Devils at least £100 million, a price that Mourinho believed would be justified. It’s thought that the ex-Chelsea boss would definitely prefer the striker to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
What would he bring to Old Trafford?
Goals, goals and more goals. Having registered 35 goals in 38 appearances in his most prolific season to date in 2016/17, he’s established himself as the most prolific striker in the Premier League.
A natural finisher, Kane would thrive with the creativity he would have behind him in a red shirt with service from the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata and co.
On top of that, Kane’s homegrown status would be a valuable addition to a squad with an ever decreasing number of youth products. Tipped as a future England captain to replace Wayne Rooney, he could also do so at club level and take his slot as an English talent in the United squad for their return to Champions League football.

Is a move likely?
It seems highly unlikely. Daniel Levy will be adamant that his star man is going nowhere and even an astronomical £100 million offer might not be enough to persuade him.
Kane seems more than happy at the club as they head to Wembley next season and has become a club icon with his tremendous displays having come through the youth ranks in north London.
If there is a hope for United, it could be that the likes of Kyle Walker could be tempted by a move away. With the current Spurs wage structure, a huge offer from Manchester could be enough to turn his head.
