Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified a potential replacement for club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, and he is a French compatriot.
That is according to Le Parisien this week, as relayed by Le10 Sport and Foot-Sur7, who suggest that Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson is considered a potentially perfect replacement for the Tottenham star whose future looks increasingly in doubt.
They claim that Mourinho wants to raid Marseille for the midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham on multiple occasions in the past.

However, former Spurs boss and Mourinho protege Andre Villas-Boas, who is the current boss at Marseille, does not want to see him leave.
That does not seem to matter, as Marseille are in financial trouble and need to sell. Marseille are said to be keen to do a deal, but would want a fee in the region of €35-€40 million (£34.5m-£36m) to do so.
That seems like a large sum for a player many will feel is not on the same level as Ndombele.
If Tottenham could reduce the asking price for Sanson, then it would perhaps be a more worthwhile cause.
Until then, Tottenham should surely be looking for better and even cheaper midfield alternatives.
