Tottenham Hotspur drew 0-0 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League. Following the game, Jose Mourinho reserved praise for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on his Instagram account.

Spurs were second best for large parts of the contest but stood firm to keep another clean sheet and continue their streak without a defeat.

Mourinho hasn’t seen his team beaten in the top-flight since the opening day of the season when Everton won at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The game in West London produced little in the way of goalmouth action and proved a bit of an anti-climax despite both teams being in good form.

Following the game, Mourinho took to his Instagram account and praised the French custodian for his heroics when called upon.

The World Cup-winning goalkeeper is showing no sign of his form going on a downward trajectory.

Lloris, 33, has been a standout performer for Tottenham this season and the club captain is proving instrumental.

During his eight years in North London, he has endured some sticky periods but ultimately he is now proving his undoubted class.

Mourinho clearly values him not only as a player but also as a leader within his ranks.

Tottenham will hope to win some silverware this season to end a long stretch without any, and Lloris will be important.

The £100,000-a-week ace is improving despite his age and the Les Bleus number one is thriving under Mourinho.

Lloris kept Chelsea at bay in an important fixture for Tottenham and that has clearly delighted Mourinho.
