It has finally be announced! Jose Mourinho is the new head coach of Manchester United Football Club.

After was seems like the longest managerial saga in the history of the game, the Portuguese head coach has finally landed his dream job, taking over the Red Devils hot seat from the recently sacked Louis van Gaal on a three-year deal.

After two seasons, one FA Cup win, and a fourth and fifth-place finish, the Dutchman’s time at Old Trafford came to an abrupt end on Monday, paving the way for his successor to make an instant impact.

Mourinho boasts an impressive 65% win rate throughout his career – an identical record to Sir Alex Ferguson, the man credited with making Manchester United into the footballing power house they are today.

With him, the former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea head coach is expected to bring instant success, restoring the club to former glories with his unique style of management and quite remarkable array of contacts.

Arguably yet more exciting for the United supporters is the potential for player recruitment under the famed boss. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already been strongly linked, and if the calibre of player such as Willian can indeed be tempted to link up with their old coach, then The Red Devils’ troubles on the pitch should be reversed rapidly.
