AS has proposed that Liverpool re-sign Philippe Coutinho during the summer and former defender Jose Enrique is behind the deal.
Barcelona are strapped for cash and will look to offload several players when the window reopens.
The La Liga outfit still owe Liverpool £40 million from his transfer in 2018 and AS have suggested Barcelona should thrash out a deal.
Coutinho cost £142 million in total but hasn’t really scaled the heights at the Nou Camp.

He has scored just 23 goals and claimed 14 assists from his 90 outings for the Catalan giants.
Enrique not only thinks he’d be a good signing but the League Cup winner has also earmarked him for a change of role.
He thinks the Brazilian would make an ideal for replacement for Gini Wijanldum who will leave on a free transfer.
The ex-Liverpool defender said on Instagram: “I would take Coutinho, definitely I would take him back at Anfield.
“I really believe with Gini going, Coutinho could bring something else as a ling-up to the front three.
“He would be a perfect number eight for us and I’m sure he would take a salary drop to come back to Liverpool.”
During 2020/21, Coutinho played just 14 times in Ronald Koeman’s team, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
Coutinho to Liverpool: the transfer link that just won’t go away
Whether it’s actual rumours or Spanish papers suggesting random deals, Liverpool being mentioned alongside Coutinho just refuses to dispel.
Having qualified for the Champions League, Liverpool might just be able to target stellar players.
As a result, perhaps they won’t be considering a deal to sign their former playmaker this summer.
Coutinho did enjoy his football at Anfield as he scored 54 goals in 201 appearances for the Reds.
Liverpool are owed a sizeable sum from Barca and they’d dearly love to write some of that off.

Furthermore, he earns £400,000-a-week in Spain and Koeman would dearly love to get that off the wage budget.
Liverpool will have some decisions to make this summer if Jurgen Klopp things Coutinho could do a job, he should make some enquiries.
This doesn’t look like being the last time we’ll hear of someone mentioning Liverpool and Countinho in the same breath.
