Jose Enrique has teased Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s lack of Premier League goals this season on Instagram, by comparing him to Liverpool rookie Curtis Jones – who opened his account last Sunday.
Jones, 19, opened his Premier League account in his tenth senior appearance for Liverpool with a well-timed finish to double Liverpool’s advantage over Aston Villa on Sunday. The Reds earned a 2-0 win.
The Liverpool-born England Under-19 international has scored three goals in 10 Liverpool outings, with his stunning strike in the FA Cup against Everton likely to be his best moment in a Reds shirt so far.
Meanwhile, Pogba has been in and out of the United side this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the 2018 World Cup winner finally overcoming a long-term ankle problem to return to the United starting eleven.
Though the former Juventus midfielder is yet to score for Manchester United this season, he has been more of a creative source – creating four assists. That did not stop Enrique though, as he compared Jones’ and Pogba’s stats.
Former Liverpool defender Enrique, who is renowned as an avid supporter of his old club on social media, teased Manchester United midfielder Pogba for his failure to score a goal in the league this season – by comparing him with Jones.
