Egypt called Salah up for their friendlies against Niger and Liberia in this international break.
The Liverpool superstar started in his usual right-wing position, and even though he wasn’t at his absolute best, he still managed to score twice against a really poor Niger side.
For the opener just before half-time, Salah picked the ball up inside the box and fired it past Mahamadou Tandja Djibrilla Kassali Djibo into the back of the net.
Mostafa Mohamed doubled Egypt’s lead 10 minutes into the second half, and just 12 minutes later, Salah made it 3-0 from the spot after the hosts were awarded a penalty.
Liverpool fans are delighted to see Salah finding the net, and Jose Enrique believes that ‘their main man is back’.
He posted a picture of the Egyptian on his Instagram story and wrote in the overlay text: “The main man is back. Two goals today against Niger.”
