Everton are hoping they can confirm Jordan Pickford’s new deal in the coming weeks and it is the largest contract in the club’s history, TBR Football understands.
TBR Football revealed that Pickford was ready to commit to The Toffees for the rest of his career and that is now close to fruition.
While on-loan star Jack Grealish will be earning more, that is a Manchester City contract and Pickford’s deal will be the largest Everton have handed out themselves.
New deals for Jarrad Branthwaite and Pickford were one of the priorities heading into the new season. Branthwaite is done and now Pickford is soon to follow.

Exclusive: Jordan Pickford impressed with Everton vision
Our chief correspondent Graeme Bailey confirmed: “Pickford talked with new owner Dan Friedkin soon after they arrived at the club last year and liked what he heard.
“He believes the club is going places and is more than happy to commit.
“Along with his new deal, one for Branthwaite, the summer signings of [Kiernan] Dewsbury-Hall, [Tyler] Dibling, [Thierno] Barry – Pickford feels Everton are going places.”
Pickford has been a regular starter since arriving from Sunderland in 2017, and he is also one of England’s greatest-ever goalkeepers, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton.
He kept an eighth clean sheet in a row in the Three Lions’ 3-0 friendly victory against Wales on Thursday to break Banks’ long-standing record from 1966.
After TBR Football first revealed that Pickford was closing in on a contract extension, Everton supporters were delighted with the news, hailing him as “incredible” and “loyal”.
David Moyes told Everton to sign Jordan Pickford
David Moyes is enjoying the best of Pickford in his second stint in the Toffees’ hot seat, and he recently admitted he played a crucial role in the stopper’s move to Merseyside.
Pickford joined Everton as a then-23-year-old in a £25million deal eight years ago, and Moyes, who worked with him at Sunderland, recommended him to his old Everton chairman, Bill Kenwright.
“When I lost my job at Sunderland, at the end of the season, I said to Bill: ‘You have got to sign the goalkeeper at Sunderland’ – and he did. He went on and signed him at that time.”
Over 300 appearances later, Moyes’ pitch looks a masterstroke.
