Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has made the headlines a lot this season.

The Englishman is one of the best players in the world with the ball at his feet, and he has produced several exceptional performances for the Reds over the years.

Against Leicester City on Sunday, Alexander-Arnold scored the winner to help his side go one step closer to winning the Premier League title.

All the talk in recent months has been about his contract, but Alexander-Arnold definitely deserves the headlines now for the right reasons.

Alexander-Arnold has come under a lot of criticism since reports about his future emerged.

The Englishman, along with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, entered the final six months of their contracts at the turn of the year, and all their futures were up in the air.

Salah and Van Dijk have penned new deals now, but it looks like Alexander-Arnold is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of this season.

That has made him a bit of a villain among some Liverpool fans, but everybody celebrated with him after he won the game for the Reds on Sunday.

Alexander-Arnold’s lovely volley broke the deadlock against the Foxes, and the Reds are now just one win – or one Arsenal defeat – away from lifting the Premier League title.

After the game, the Liverpool right-back took to Instagram to celebrate his goal and the win.

Jordan Henderson replied: “Special player!”

Trent Alexander-Arnold did something for the first time ever vs Leicester

Alexander-Arnold’s attacking qualities are exceptional.

A lot has been said about the England full-back’s defending over the years, but nobody can question his ability when he has the ball at his feet.

The goal against Leicester City was Alexander-Arnold’s 23rd for Liverpool in all competitions, which is a very impressive return for a defender.

But, what’s interesting is that it was his first-ever goal with his left foot in his entire professional career.

That is a surprise to us, but we won’t be taken aback if he adds a few more with his weaker foot before his contract expires in July.
